Yuki Muto, 21, from Tokyo’s Shibuya-ku, told officers that he disposed of the breasts by putting them in the garbage disposal in his kitchen sink.
Muto is under arrest for slicing the body of his 20-year-old sister Azumi into more than 10 separate parts, mostly at the joints. He put the other body parts into four plastic bags and hid them in his room.’

`Three penguins were stabbed and bashed before being killed with a single blow at a Melbourne beach colony.
The remains of two male and one female bird were discovered at the St Kilda breakwater Little Penguin colony just before Christmas.
One of the male penguins also had its left flipper slashed with a knife and one was hit so hard its back was broken.’

`Two cows were shot in the eyes at point blank range by someone with an air rifle in North Somerset.
The attack happened in a field off Cowslip Green in Redhill. Neither cow was left with permanent injuries.
Two men were seen leaving the scene carrying what looked like an air rifle in a long black case.
Both were white and aged around 19, of average height and build. One had what has been described as a Mohican-style haircut.’
`Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday a horrific terrorist act on the United States that will result in “mass killing” late in 2007.
“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that.”
Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

`A woman who falsely accused two men of rape while retaining her anonymity has been ordered to pay them nearly £700,000 in compensation, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The 48-year-old married mother of two is facing bankruptcy after a judge branded her a cold-blooded liar who ruined lives with a string of fabricated allegations.
In a landmark High Court ruling, the woman, who still cannot be named, was ordered to pay £615,711 damages to Raman Kumar, and a further £58,000 to Baldev Singh for “falsely and maliciously” accusing them of rape.

`A hungry 10-year-old girl from India’s lowest Hindu caste had all the fingers of her right hand chopped off by an upper-caste landowner for taking a few spinach leaves from his field, the Hindustan Times reported today.
The attack took place in a village in Bhagalpur district last week in impoverished Bihar state in the east where caste prejudice against Dalits – formerly called “untouchables” – is widespread and sometimes results in violence against them.
Police in Bhagalpur, in eastern Bihar, said they would soon arrest the upper-caste landowner who used a sickle to wound the girl whose name was given as Khushboo.
“We will get results. This is terrible,” said police superintendent J. S. Gangwar, quoted by the newspaper.’

`A police officer in Longwood, Fla., accused of inappropriately touching a teen girl has been accused of sexual harassment before, Local 6 News has learned.
Officer Art Lews, 37, was arrested this week after a 14-year-old girl claimed he touched her inappropriately.
A report said the girl’s grandparents called police after they suspected the girl had sex with her boyfriend.
When Lewis arrived, he allegedly took the girl into another room and said he needed to perform an “exam” on her, police told Local 6 News.’
`A man who burned a dog to death in the oven of a house he was robbing has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, a prosecutor said.
Alexander Davis, 20, received a five-year sentence for aggravated animal cruelty and 10 years for burglary, Chatham County Assistant District Attorney Melanie Higgins said.
The dog’s owner, Angela DeLettre, came home in August 2005 to find an open back door, items missing and a kitchen sink overflowing with water. She found one of her dogs safe, but the other, a 1-year-old rat terrier, was missing.
Police later found the dead dog in the oven, which had been set to 400 degrees.
Police arrested Davis on an anonymous tip a few days later.’

Alan Grant, 42, a former assistant commissioner, made parental consent forms for the bogus event. [..]

`Police say a Marshall County teen raped his mother to get revenge on his brother.
Police say 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother this past weekend at Willow Terrace Trailer Park on Doyle Drive in Albertville.
It’s a twisted crime that police say Helms admits.
“From what we understand the rape stemmed from an argument between him and his brother. And apparently they were arguing over a girlfriend. And the rape was some sort of retaliation towards his brother,” said Sgt. Jamie Smith of the Albertville Police Department.’

Gavin Lyon, a senior at Bingham High School, was beaten last Friday night. Family and friends believe he was “curbed” – a violent maneuver where a person’s head is placed against a concrete curb on a street, and someone steps on the back of the head. In most cases, this procedure causes the jaw to break along with several teeth. [..]
