The more famous scientific photo of history

`Almost 80 years ago, a conference on physics organized in Brussels, in the heat of inter-war period, reunited elenco of privileged minds unique.

At the beginning of last century XX, the industrialist and filántropo Belgian Ernest Solvay used part of his fortune in organizing several conferences on physics to which the privileged minds more of the moment were invited.’

Really Big Hole

`This diamond mine in eastern Siberia (Mirny, to be exact) is so deep that the surrounding “air zone… is closed for helicopters” after “a few accidents when they were ‘sucked in’ by downward air flow…” [..]

A now closed diamond mine that measures 1 1/2 km wide 500 m deep. That’s one hole I wouldn’t want to accidently fall into.’

Surgery renews one Waco man’s positive outlook

`A Waco man who has a new penis created from thigh tissue says his “whole life has changed” since Scott & White Hospital doctors performed the pioneering surgery in June.

The 63-year-old man, who wants to remain anonymous, said that after four years without a penis – because of cancer – he can urinate normally and experience sexual intercourse again.

“I’m one of the boys,” he said.’

New Abu Ghraib images broadcast

`An Australian TV channel has broadcast previously unpublished images showing apparent US abuse of prisoners in Iraq’s Abu Ghraib jail in 2003.

The images on SBS TV are thought to be from the same source as those that caused an outcry around the world and led to several US troops being jailed.

The new images show “homicide, torture and sexual humiliation”, SBS said.

The US has said the images could only “incite unnecessary violence” and endanger US military personnel.’

And here’s the new Abu Ghraib images themselves.

Alien Drawings by Children

`This website features a series of drawings made by children who were abducted by aliens for the alien purpose of creating a new race of alien/human hybrids. [..]

The pictures were drawn by children who successfully resisted the aliens by using a “thought screen helmet” which blocks the telepathic control aliens have over humans.

The helmet is a leather hat lined with eight sheets of Velostat, an electrically conductive plastic used to prevent static electricity damage to electronic components. The girl in this photo has two other cloth hats lined with Velostat which she wears to school.’

Huge positive lightning bolt almost zaps an Australian lightning photographer

`The above photo is courtesy of Kane Quinnell from Australia. It was almost his last. The above lightning stroke was almost certainly a “bolt from the blue” – a relatively rare positive lightning bolt that originates from the top of a distant storm cloud rather than from the negatively charged cloud base. [..]

“[..] I clicked away a few times, and got nothing, and then clicked the button again, and within 0.5 seconds of me pressing the button, I had jumped at least 2 metres in the air, as I heard a tremendously loud crack of thunder, and see this amazingly bright beam of electricity right in front of me. I had then landed, grabbed the camera, and was inside the house within 2 seconds.

I did not realize just how lucky I was until I uploaded the picture to my computer, and saw a leader stroke that must have originated no more than 2 metres from where I was standing next to my car, under my carport. Had the main charge taken the leader near me, rather than the one it did, I would be dead. [..]”‘

How to spot a pedophile

`Ever see a guy at work or school who sends off creepy vibes, and you say to yourself “man, I know that guy rapes children”? Some mental health doctors claim that there’s no way to tell a pedophile apart from anyone else just by looks alone. Wrong. I scoured the FBI’s most wanted list and found some examples that confirmed my theory. Here’s what to look for [..]

On the left is Mark David Keller, wanted for paying young homeless boys for sex. Notice the telltale sign of a man who has a penchant for boy ass: the pedophile-smile or “pedosmile.” It’s part smirk, part grin, and all molester. It’s like he’s having a two-for-one sale on rape, no refunds or exchanges. On the right is John Henry Ramirez, wanted for plain old capital murder. Notice the cold gaze, and no smile. Definitely not a child molester. Probably. Here’s a chance to test your pedometer. Take this quiz to see if you can spot the pedophiles. Choose “yes” or “no” for each suspect; you will be graded at the end.’

Well, I got 12/19 (63.2%) which is better than the average of 53.3%. So there you go.. I’m safer than the average person from pedophiles. 🙂

Dannii Minogue Lesbian Lapdance Video Pictures

`Dannii Minogue, the equally hot sister of Australian singer Kylie Minogue seems to have a thing for the ladies. News of the World is reporting that Dannii Minogue was caught on tape, via a closed-circuit video camera, getting a super-raunchy lap dance at London’s Puss in Boots strip club. The lapdance was full on, breaking all the “no touching” rules, and definitely entered into lesbian territory.’

Eruption on Augustine Island, Alaska

`The Augustine Volcano in Alaska continued erupting on February 2, 2006. The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported a continuous plume of volcanic ash emitting from the volcano, accompanied by low-level explosions and pyroclastic flows of hot ash and rock fragments. The observatory warned that sudden eruptions producing ash clouds as high as 7,600 meters (25,000 feet) could occur without warning.’

the Art of DeTouch

`The Art of DeTouch explores the manipulation of images related to the human form. Drawing photographs from existing online portfolio sites of professional re-touch artists, this application allows a user to explore precisely how the images were altered. Using Processing, an open source programming language and environment, before and after images are compared algorithmically pixel by pixel to generate visualizations of the alterations.’

Strange-Looking Car Leads To Explosives Charges

`A man from Sheridan is facing explosives charges after he accidentally blew up his own car with a gas-filled balloon he was taking to a Super Bowl party.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office found a suspicious-looking car Sunday afternoon behind the old Duggan’s gas station in the 4500 block of South Santa Fe Drive frontage road. Passersby had called in to report some type of explosion or car accident.

When a deputy arrived to check it out, he found a white car that showed obvious signs of an explosion. All the windows were blown out, the vehicle doors were bent towards the outside and the roof was pushed about a foot higher than normal.’

Recent photos and some good news

`I’m happy to say that silicone was not responsible for my recent stay in the hospital. I had a severe case of pneumonia. I’m not sure how or why the hospital doctors were so focused on the silicone; I can only guess that because of the controversy surrounding silicone usage, they immediately wanted to focus on that.

Early on, the hospital doctors said I may have pneumonia, but then they seemed to rule it out. The diagnosis on my discharge paperwork says, “Probable Silicone Embolism Syndrome”. It’s amazing that after 2 weeks in the hospital, they couldn’t be a little more sure about it.’

Be wared, this forum post it brought to you by the ExtremeCock Community and there are pictures posted. Bet you can’t guess why “silicone” keeps getting mentioned. 🙂

The Big Book of Sign Language

`For decades, mankind has longed to be deaf. Jet engines, auto horns, the dullification of modern popular music – any one of these things alone might be worth the price of admission to a wholly silent world. So how does one sign up? Reproduced for the first time since its initial printing in 1972, we are proud to present its revised, expanded, fully up-to-date illustrated manual of contemporary American sign language, sometimes referred to as “finger spelling”.’

Impressive woman seeks a cast for Return of The Jedi themed orgy

`Evah since I been a lil girl i always be thinkin that it would be nasty (in a good way) to have a couple of men act out that scene from Star Wars where Luke comes to rescue Princess Leah from Jabba the hut.

Here’s what i want: Four men (Luke, Jabba, Hans Solo, and Chewy) to come over to my house, tie me up by the neck and then beat me around for a while before reenacting the entire portion of the film that takes place at Jabba’s palace (i will provide copies of the script for you to memorize or read before we commence and i have created costumes from fabric and pieces of plastic i had lying around the house).’

With pictures. Hilarious. 🙂

Hoax Photo Gallery

`When Daguerre’s discovery of the art of photography was announced to the world in 1839, many scientists, such as Dr. Bird of Philadelphia, found the concept so extraordinary that they insisted the announcement had to be a hoax. Photography was, of course, quite real, but it has proven to be a favorite tool of hoaxers since its invention. What follows are some notorious photographic fakes arranged in chronological order from the Civil War to the present.’

Soviet Moon Images

`Russian probes returned the first images of the Lunar far side and the first images from the Lunar surface. While a manned landing was never accomplished, the final phase of Soviet exploration included a number of impressive robotic missions, returning samples and roving the surface.’
